Was there a study done as to how many cars are speeding on this intersection? Can you share a copy of the results?

According to the FHWA as specified in the Manual of Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Section 2B.0 Multi-Way Stop Applications, "five or more reported crashes in a 12-month period that are susceptible to correction by a multi-way stop installation. Such crashes include right-turn and left-turn collisions as well as right-angle collisions." The reported crashes at the intersection of Concord St and St Pauls Ave fall beneath the FHWA threshold; however, due to the safety record and the similar traffic volumes along the intersecting streets, we are willing to make an exception. We will move forward with drafting a new ordinance to be presented at the next Council meeting. Should the Council approve the ordinance, we will issue the work orders to install the new stop control signage and striping. We will follow up on the status of the ordinance in a month.
