Masked dirt bike riders speeding down State Street. I guess we are just at the mercy of these marauders. Law enforcement is powerless against them.

This is an issue that is going to require a lot of creative thinking. Clearly, nobody wants to have high speed chases going on, on city streets. That just endangers everyone's life, bikers, cops & ordinary folks on the street. That said, the general aura of lawlessness that the dirt bikes & ATVs lend to an area is something that has to be addressed. I live across the street from the Clinton Av. Park, & I see every year, that the work of the parks dept. on the playing fields is torn up within days, by the dirt bikes & quads. NHPD really needs to lets us know how we can help put a stop to this. This sort of behavior is so loud, & so public, it gives the impression that this is a neighbor hood where anything goes.

It's a Saturday afternoon, it's not yet even very warm out yet, this has already been going on for 3 hours! Is this a sign of things to come? Let me guess: once taxes are raised everything will be OK? This is unacceptable--it's the SAME kids, with the SAME bikes, riding EACH year! We've to seen any response today. Zero. Nada.

In most places in this country reckless driving is enforced.

Possibly our new walking cops may help?

I saw police do nothing but give a neighbor a warning after he rode his quad up and down the street about a month ago. The guy on the quad had even tried to hide from the cop in his yard. This is what we pay taxes for...

He will respond to emails and calls. If you report a known ATV or dirt bike location to him, he will investigate and confiscate the machines.

Thank you for your support in improving Clinton Ave Park. We are closing old reports of Illegal Dirt Biking and Illegal use of ATVs. If you notice any new activity please open new issues with any details you can give about the vehicle or clothing or which direction they were coming or going. Parks will have a part time "permit enforcement" staff out this summer and will use these reports to guide our scheduling.

Your new district manager also does a terrific job of monitoring new reports to SCF, but its difficult to find the old ones!
