  • 787 Prospect St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Prospect Hill
Completely overgrown sidewalk. Property owners have spent many thousands of dollars building a parking lot and landscaping the property but have utterly neglected the portion around the sidewalks. Please maintain your shrubbery growth so that the public can use their space!
  • 38 Beechwood Lane New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Prospect Hill
There is a wide bank of snow that has not been cleared from the street. The mailman will be unable to deliver, nobody will be able to park, and family members with limited mobility will not be able to get out. This is also going to freeze into an ice bank with temperatures projected to stay under freezing for over a week. Please plow the snow off the street!
  • Unplowed Arkiverad
Beechwood Lane New Haven, CT - Prospect Hill
Beechwood Lane has not been plowed. Please help us get out as soon as possible. Thanks.
  • 44 Beechwood Lane new haven CT 06511 - Prospect Hill
Not one plow has come yet! This is a safety hazard as nobody can get out. Usually not a problem, but we seem to have been forgotten this time!
  • 20 Davis St Hamden, CT 06517, USA - Hamden
During the rainstorm last week the entire bridge had a massive lake-like puddle over six inches deep. Drainage should be improved to prevent these dangerous conditions (and you'd think it would be relatively easy to get the water to run off the bridge to join the other water below).
  • 915 Whitney Ave Hamden, CT 06517, USA - Hamden
Deer have been seen crossing Whitney Avenue in the area around the water treatment plant and Eli Whitney Museum. Drivers regularly speed in excess of 50 mph on this stretch and now are at even greater risk of serious injury. Hamden and New Haven should coordinate speed enforcement on this stretch of road, perhaps put up a deer crossing sign and/or install traffic calming mechanisms.
  • 344-358 Prospect St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Prospect Hill
There are two deep, mean potholes in the northbound lane of Prospect Street just past the turnoff for Hillside Place (if you are driving north). It is really hard to avoid both of them without crossing the yellow line and my car cries out in pain every time I hit them. Please repair these cruel ditches.
  • 172 East Rock Rd New Haven, CT - Prospect Hill
The tree in front of the house at 172 East Rock Road and possibly other trees nearby need to be trimmed back because the electric wires are pulled taut against the branches. This is a fire hazard. This tree has already caught fire once in the past year and could potentially have caused serious house damage if not noticed in a timely fashion. Preventive care is needed!
  • Brutal pothole Arkiverad
E Rock Rd New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East Rock
At least one foot in diameter and six inches deep, located in the right lane if you are coming to the intersection from East Rock Road. It is just past the end of the bridge and before the stop sign.
  • 632-652 State St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Downtown
When driving south on State Street, there is a traffic signal with a dedicated left turn lane and light. The trigger for the left turn on to Olive Street does not seem to be working. I have sat through multiple light changes at different times of fat without getting a green turn arrow. The timing on the light seems to have been changed ever since the Grand Street bridge reopened so perhaps the problem is related to that change.
  • power out Arkiverad
38 Beechwood Ln New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Prospect Hill
Power appears to be out on the street
  • 272-350 Ogden St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Prospect Hill
Albertus sidewalk? this is not passable!
  • 1-99 Edgehill Terrace Hamden, CT 06517, USA - Hamden
There are two dead squirrels on the sidewalk here, and I saw another dead one in the street next to the sidewalk about a month ago. I think that there may be something about the electric transformer or the wiring on the nearby utility pole that is causing the squirrels to get electrocuted. Might be an indicator of greater hazards (not to mention the dead animals are disgusting).
  • 224-420 Livingston St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East Rock
The road has sunken in here to the point where you have to come to a complete halt or risk bottoming out your vehicle. It is going to take more than pothole fill to fix, but it is a real menace. Whoever created the dent (sewer folks?) should be required to fix it.
  • Speeding Arkiverad
787 Prospect St New Haven, CT 06511 - Prospect Hill
Cars travel down this stretch of Prospect at ridiculous speeds. Move the speed trap from the corner of East Rock and Whitney over here.
  • 333 Ogden St New Haven, CT 06511 - Prospect Hill
The sidewalk on the north side of the street is completely overgrown with branches strewn about and litter on the ground. This stretch of sidewalk abuts an Albertus Magnus dormitory and should be cared for by the school. Instead of chopping down old trees, please send your landscaping mercenaries to clean this up so pedestrians can get through!
  • Deadly Pothole Arkiverad
226 E Rock Rd New Haven, CT 06511 - Prospect Hill
Blew out my tire on this pothole. It is just past the crosswalk going down the hill.
  • 97 Cliff St New Haven, CT 06511 - Prospect Hill
There is a storm drain on the corner of Cliff and Edgehill that appears to have just collapsed. There is a very large and extremely deep and perilous hole where it used to be (3 feet wide, 2 feet across, at least 6 feet deep). The city is at tremendous risk of a lawsuit if someone should injure themselves here.
  • 56 Beechwood Ln New Haven, CT 06511 - Prospect Hill
There is a tree that is dangerously close to breaking a power line here. It really needs to have a branch removed by someone who has the equipment and skill to work near active power lines.
  • 133 Prospect St New Haven, CT 06511 - Prospect Hill
The Yale transit buses never pull to the side of the street on Prospect when passengers are embarking or disembarking, even though there is ample room for them to do so. Cars then try to veer around the bus and play chicken with oncoming traffic. This is dangerous, and could easily be fixed by the buses obeying a simple traffic law (not to mention it would be nicer for the passengers!).
