City of Chicopee PLUS

Extreme overgrowth along chainlink fence between Gaylord Ct and Elms parking lot. Makes street-parking and/or turning around near impossible on this very narrow way. We have trimmed some ourself but either city or Elms need to properly clear this. Thank you.

Contacted by neighbors about overgrowth at Polaski Hall

There is a commercial property for sale right next to CVS on Memorial Drive. This property is on James St. The fence of my yard borders it (I live at 861 Prospect St). The sumac and other weeds are towering over into our yard and partially blocking our solar panels. I do not believe the sumac is poison but it is certainly an eyesore, could be damaging our fence, and is potentially blocking the panels. I’d just like someone to come take care of the property please. It is also spilling into our neighbors yard.

Empty lot has overgrowth brush and tree branches blocking view of stop sign and roadway

This property appears to be vacant and is not been taken care of. The grass is extremely overgrown and I have personally seen skunks and other varmints on the property. It’s becoming an eyesore and very unsightly he’s bringing the rest of the neighborhood down

For the fourth year in a row, this rental property has not yet cut the grass this year. It now reaches the top of the front railing. (30"?) I report this once a month, to have them stall until the deadline for a fine and it doesn't get cut until we repeat the same steps six weeks from now. They cut the grass 3 or 4 times a year every year. I know you folks are really busy, but can't we do something with these people who just refuse to follow the rules every year. Maybe eliminate the warning period for repeat offenders and make the fine more expensive for progressive discipline. It costs less for the fine than to have the grass cut.

there is a over growth of weeds and who knows what else in the back yard of 15-17 leclair terr. it now to the point that weeds are growing into not only my yard but also my neighbor yard and into our bushes. I have started to cut some of it out of my bushes but I would like to know who can I contact about the over growth on that property which is now effecting two other properties

This is over growth from 19 warren street. These pictures are taken from a family members home on Melvin Street were their backyard is right next to my family members on both sides. There are 3 houses effected on melvin st from this neighbors house and next door on warren st their backyard if effected as well from this. there are trees growing over the fence and under the fence into melvin st yards. its a terrible sight for sore eyes. the trees are so powerful its going to take out the fence. no one answers this door when trying to discuss with an owner.

Weeds/vines overtaking the foliage…overgrown weeds around entrance gate. For being one of the best elementary schools, someone should take some pride in making it look that way. After last week’s storm, it looks like a branch fell into walkway.

This property has been an eyesore for years now. This vacant lot, formerly owned by the Elks, now has an unsecured hole that holds a foundation and also has 3 foot vegetation. This property is know to the city as it was going into Land Court for the vegetation reasons in 2019. What can be done to remove the mounds of dirt with exposed siding, trim all vegetation, rid the grounds of the groundhog that has now made a burrow there, protect the neighborhood kids from falling and help alleviate insects that should be forthcoming soon?
