The curve at this point on Lincoln makes this a particularly dangerous crossing. Drivers on this segment of Lincoln are frequently reckless and driving too fast to see or react to pedestrians in time. This is a perfect example of how Alameda hasn't repaired damage done to the community by redlining and continues to use roads as barriers.

Early next year, the City will begin public engagement on the Lincoln/Marshall/Pacific Avenue Safety Improvement Project, which will design improvements for the corridor for the 3.1 miles from Broadway to Main. Your report will help inform the City of Alameda’s work to achieve our Vision Zero goal of eliminating traffic fatalities and severe injuries. We will use street safety reports, including yours, in combination with crash data and equity indicators to prioritize and design street safety investments. This evaluation will generally happen on an annual basis, with some exceptions for clear and pressing trends. Agree with Wesley's comments because of parked cars and the curve of the road, this intersection is really unsafe. Drivers already use Lincoln as a highway, they would not be able to stop in time for a pedestrian.
