We are conducting repairs on the sidewalks around your house that currently have claims. We are aware of the conditions on Fairview that necessitate additional repairs. We will be dispatching our inspector specifically to your address to evaluate your sidewalk. This is registered under our work order system at www.seeclickfix.com under work item #11547985.

We currently do not have funds or time before the winter weather sets in to continue on Fairview beyond the current work orders.

We are hoping to get an additional capital allocation final approved by the Legislative Council (there is currently a plan approval but the funds have not been released).

We are hoping to have the funds released for spring construction.

I do understand just how frustrating it must be to see sidewalks being replaced so close to your residence. I really do wish I could replace all of them in Hamden - there is just not enough funds to do so at this time. (I do not think any municipality in our State could do so.)

We look at the condition of the sidewalk and how long it has been listed for replacement. 320 Fairview was first recorded on 10/17/2014. Your residence was first recorded as an issue on 8/30/2017. It is our goal, and my challenge, to help and satisfy as many residents as possible, insuring that your tax dollars are spent carefully, judiciously, and fairly. Please find attached below a picture of some sidewalks at 27-45 Fairview that I feel impelled to replace as soon as it gets warmer [above 36 degrees F] - with them I hope it brings the situation a little more in focus for you and a little less frustrating.
