Where did the city plan for people to park to pick up food here?

Greek Corner should instruct their customers to park on Dudley St.

That’s not cool but guess what there’s no parking for anyone so the businesses need to go out of business because of this? This should’ve been thought out better and Businesses notified before they did this!!!!

The city didn't plan. They just took away parking and let the businesses die. Last night at city council public comments we heard some businesses have lost half their customers. Some have lost employees because there is no place for them to park. Militant bikers (not your average biker) have been harassing business owners who complain about loss of parking. One biker rode past a shop that had complained and yelled profanities at the owner, a woman. Another said on Twitter that they should torch the buildings of anyone who complains. Is this Cambridge?

Double parking near a popular restaurant is just part of city living.

It was also not recorded with the Cambridge Records Dept.

Has there been ANY outreach or assistance lent to these small businesses by the Economic Development Division of Community Development Department (CDD)??

Or have they just been kicked to the curb by the city and this project? Because believe it or not CDD does have divisions beyond Transportation--one of which is suppose to assist small businesses.

Are you saying the sabotage didn't occur? That the bicyclist lied? Is there a police log report for the alleged harassment?

This is not about bikers vs drivers. This is about the city making poorly thought out changes to one of the most important non-highway thoroughfares in all of Boston.

Nothing about my report should be interpreted as a complaint about the separated bus lanes or dedicated bike lanes. I can attest that this matter predates the changes on Mass Ave by, at minimum, several years. There is no reason that the city should permit the continued infractions by Greek Corner customers, which pose a safety hazard to all users of Mass Ave.

City took parking away meters & added idiotic extended corners....yes businesses r going out of business...it is not just Greek Corner its all restaurants where pkg was removed!!! Often have 2 circle blocks numerous times 2 pick up take out trying 2 support local businesses which is what we r supposed 2 do.

Its not restaurants fault & this is most certainly is a wicked disgusted complaint about seperated bus & bike lanes!! Return meters & 2nd lane 4 traffic!

Not only did city pave new bus & bike lane & left ratty lane 4 drivers...nice....real nice!!!

What’s ironic is that bicyclists have no problem riding around legally stopped cars, in gridlock or at red lights. And they stuff it in on the right side When there is no bike lane, but as soon as someone pulls over in a bike lane, even with zero traffic, they become completely helpless.

City Hall – DR assigned this issue to Traffic - KC (Permits)

This is a happens constantly as drivers stop to pickup delivery orders. They back up and park on the crosswalk. We need a way to protect pedestrians that use this crosswalk.

Agreed with Tim that this problem occurs frequently with delivery trucks. I have reported this to Cambridge Police on at least two occasions without response. The trucks typically idle outside of Greek Corner in the bike lane and car lane. In addition to the street safety issues, unnecessary idling is prohibited by state law.

For those complaining about the lack of parking, no spaces were removed from in front of Greek Corner. This is a specific—not a general—issue

Well if the city knew what the hell they were doing with signage then maybe it would be more clear, regardless if it happens all the time there or right or wrong the place is a mess from signage everywhere and nothing makes sense
