According to reply i received from my complaint on this matter, only the HPD can issue tickets. We are suppose to call them and complain. My question is why do police go by these trucks all day every day and ignore them.

Well, this is how it goes if you live south of Mather Street in Hamden. I like to picture how this would be handled if it were trailer trucks parked on Whitney Avenue in Spring Glen.

7/19. The trucks seem to be disappearing. We'll see if they all go and don't return. Fingers crossed!!

This has been going on for months. I don't know if it's always the same trucks.

Most of the trucks seem to be repeats. The trailer w/o the truck is gone from in front of the new building where ALK liquors is moving to. Maybe only because they were working on it today. One can only hope.

This is still ongoing. There's almost always a truck right at the corner of Homestead, making it impossible to pull out onto Dixwell safely.

Maybe when ALK Liquors moves across the street, they will stop parking there. The trucks seem to mostly park in front of unoccupied spots. It seems Hamden doesnt care about truck parking in this area.
I have a car carrier parked across the street from me on most days and nights. Dont know what to do to change it.

Trucks are still there.

The Mayor’s Office has had this identified as an important issue that negatively affects the surrounding community and Hamden as a whole. We have been working with our Engineering and Traffic Departments as well as the CT Department of Transportation on this issue. In terms of immediate remedies, Route 10 is a State of Connecticut road and parking is not determined by Town ordinance. There are several long and short term solutions we are pursuing to address this. We are also looking at ways to engage the community further on this issue and will communicate more shortly.
