First, this is unconscionable that the City of Oakland (COO) will not lift a finger to remove this person from the street, good Lord it is just one person creating all of this filth.
Second, COO is not proactive, only reactive plus COO is touting the fact that there are more than one thousand (1000) homeless encampments here in Oakland. Their answer is what they refer to as encampment management which is to deliver a portable toilet to each location where someone stops, drops and plops on a sidewalk or in a run-down vehicle and allow for this type of behavior to fester.
Alameda Avenue looks like Beyond Thunderdome, there is just no rhyme or reason for the COO to allow this filthy behavior to go on unchecked. Plus, I am certain that if someone dropped and plopped in front of their homes, they would figure out a way to get them moved immediately.
Third, last week, I wrote a letter to Kroger and explained to them that this is one (1) person and that God forbid if others come to join with him at this location because things will get ugly, real ugly, very very ugly.
Forth, I wrote an email to all city council persons within the past several months and was able to embed images of this location and I have never heard nary a word from anyone of them. I don't expect anything from Reid because as far as I am concerned, she picked up where her father left off. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing.
Furthermore, I no longer shop at Foods Co. because I do not want to drive into Foothill Square past a pile of filth and human debris.
