Description

Car are consistently parking on the side walk not just slightly on the curb they are parked completely on the sidewalk because it’s a narrow street, yet there is enough room to park a car on the st along curb and still have traffic flow. So today as a car turned onto diamond street from Blake at a ridiculously high speed while I was walking with my two dogs( in the middle of the road because the side walk was blocked) we’re almost hit. They came within inches of running down myself and the two dogs. Really the only people that are at fault are the people who parked on the sidewalk and continue to park on the sidewalk and disregard everyone else while never being ticketed. We need the parking enforced in this neighborhood. We are part in New Haven and they certainly tax us enough for us to be safe walking down the street. This has been on going for the past 18 years I live in this neighborhood and it’s about time someone from the city takes action. I’m tired of this neighborhood being the forgotten part of New Haven. Especially since there have been so many New Haven’s that have been run down by motor vehicles in the past year.
