There has been some discussion of extending the mural projects of Upper State Street to these underpasses. Do folks want this and want to help implement this. What kind of project would you like to see here?

I would help implement this but we'd also need a good amount of help from Cedar Hill residents.

I'm happy to raise it at the Cedar Hill Blockwatch meeting. The meetings are the first Thursday of every month at 6pm at Gibbs Church at the corner of Rock Street and State Street if you want to come by. Next meeting is Thursday, August 2 at 6pm.
Can you give some more info on Hi Crew? The challenge here will be volunteer capacity. Cedar Hill residents are busy and volunteer in a variety of ways, but I think they feel quite overtaxed. Perhaps we can id some new blood to help with the project and if you have ideas on a less volunteer-intensive project that would be great!

Sorry for the late reply, I've been away from computers and email for a while.
As far as Hi Crew being involved in underpass murals, Reo would be the person to contact. I believe Ben has his email. I really can't say how interested they are anymore as summer is a busy time for graffiti artists and we are in the middle of organizing our annual graf jam, as well as several other walls throughout CT.
Justin, I will give your email to Hi Crew and see what they want to do. Also, no volunteers will be needed for a Hi Crew wall. They organize, fund, and paint their own productions.
Thanks!

Just met with the State on site. It would be great to move something here along. The portion of the overpass above the street really needs painting (it's rusted) and would be a cool spot for a project. However, it's a big and expensive undertaking because we would have to have the paint removed (likely lead paint) and close off lanes to do so. But how great would it be to have an art project just above the bridge as you enter Cedar Hill or head towards downtown?
How much interest is there out there to spearhead this?
