Descrição

The litter is out of control around Scantlebury playground and the streets around especially Webster St and Bristol St. You see trash everywhere. It seems that the city hasn't cleaned the area for years. Henry St between Sherman and Ashmun is even worse. I sometimes doubt that this city has a mayor.

Found this request which was not categorized as Parks while reviewing based on geography. We have changed our staffing plans so that now we have more weekend trash pickups. We have also reduced the size of events we will permit in this park without more strict review with parking and trash plans. Please report new specific concerns as they arise.

Thank you for helping to keep our park in good condition. I pick up trash regularly at this park and along the canal trail. I agree with other residents on SeeClickFix that a couple of extra trash barrels would be great, plus better signage (“keep our park clean”). Not sure how well the signs would work, but an extra barrel or two couldn’t hurt.

Thanks for your suggestion. We are working with the alder to have some kids take on a summer art project to paint some additional barrels with keep clean messaging.
