Hi - just adding to this description. The main issue is that the tracks run at a diagonal across the road rather than perpendicular. Its very easy for the front wheel to get lodged in the space next to the track making it impossible to steer the bike. I've seen some tracks with a rubber insert which eliminates the grooves. Hello Town of Framingham, I too have crashed at this same spot on the tracks. In my case the track grabbed my front wheel stopping my bike and launching me onto the road. I broke my shoulder and left the scene in an ambulance. This happened on April 28 2007 and I'm shocked to see that this has never been addressed. A friend of mine crashed at this same spot the night before the marathon this year.

The tracks stop at Addessa. They are no longer in use, right? Can ?Amtrack? remove them? You could (at some point) make a nice bike trail from Washakum Street and follow that track line all the way to the Holliston bike trail.
