Description
Shrubs planted by the home owner on the corner of 42 Howard Avenue and Sea Street are causing a dangerous blind spot when turning onto Howard Ave. from Sea Street. The shrubs and vines are also covering the "interstate 95" sign as well. The owner, Mr. Seacord has been approached by neighbors to trim the overgrowth but he refuses stating that he "likes his privacy." The shrubs are on city property and the city needs to take responsibility before an accident results.

LCI, please follow through before there are serious consequences. An order should have been issued for the shrubs to be cut down not merely just trimmed since the owners history was to refuse to prune in the past.
The City of new Haven is still responsible since the shrubs are growing on city property.
PLEASE act quickly before there is a fatality. Public safety should be the priority over the homeowner's privacy needs
