Heading towards the Longfellow Bridge, this intersection has a Bike Lane to the right, a Right Turn Lane in the middle, and a Straight Through Lane on the left. Straight & Right Turn are two separate phases on the traffic light. Unfortunately, cyclists are now piling up blocking the Right Turn Lane in an attempt to go Straight. Additionally, as a cyclist myself, I have no idea where I'm supposed to be to safely make a Right Turn. Do I stay in the Bike Lane? Or maybe I'm supposed to merge left into the Right Turn Lane and then hope that no cyclists are blocking it in order to complete a Right Turn on the proper light phase?

In any case, this intersection needs better signage telling cyclists what to do and where to wait. Perhaps some targeted "Educational Enforcement" could help too, though when I stopped to ask a nearby police officer this morning he vehemently refused to assist, that it "wasn't his job". I understand there is major construction on Ames St itself, and sometimes in the intersection, but at the moment the specific area in question is *not* under construction.
