Supervisor - I understand - this actually isn't my issue. I renewed mine early and was able to get the green passes. However, some were not, and some who I know also did not have last-year passes. All they have are the taped/sharpied expired passes that they were told to use "until we mail out the new ones."
I also understand that there should be no issue with the appeal if they properly explain the situation. However, this whole thing seems backwards - why not just stick to the original promise of mailing out the correct passes when they arrive? Instead, the Residents' time is wasted, the Ticket-writer's time is wasted, whoever reviews the appeals time is wasted, etc.

Jim - Not sure why you feel the need to be counterproductive on this site. That's not how the system works. The 3 hang tags are for visitors. Actual residents can not and should not use Visitor Passes on a day-to-day basis. "Buying" the hang tags is for people who refuse to register their car in New Haven to avoid taxes, which is a totally separate discussion. You know all this.

Again, this isn't even my own issue. I've got a sticker on my car and my 3 visitor passes. Looking out for my neighbors who were caught off-guard.

Unfortunately I can’t speak on behalf of the office of accounts receivable or any promises that may have been made or misunderstanding that may have occurred in communication with that office, however I have forwarded this issue to the head of that department and received confirmation that all permits are currently in stock.

Neil - You still need to bring in appropriate documentation and fill out the form, however I recommend doing so in person in the office of accounts receivable to receive your permits on the spot.
