This intersection was studied last fall for a protected-permissive left turn phase for Lake Boone Trail and Ridge Road. None of the proposed approaches met cross product threshold limits and there has only been one turning type crash during the most recent 3 years of the type in which a protected left turn phase may address. The addition of a protected left turn phase would increase overall intersection delay causing the overall level of service to decrease. Based on this information, the addition of a protected turn movement is not recommended at this time.
