The block is becoming the new Quail Street of Albany in terms of bad boy and girl behavior. I feel sorry for the grown ups that live on the block. This seems to be spreading. Please Help!!!!!!

On July 10th you assigned this issue to Kevin. I'm certainly glad its being re acknowledged but let's solve it this time.

I will be sure we address it. But just so you know, having the grill next to the house is not a violation. The best thing to do is when the grill is actually being used to call the Albany Fire Department's non-emergency number at 438-4000. They are the authority that can best deal with a grill or fire pit issue because both of those issues can only be dealt with when they are in the act of being used. Hope that helps.

So having a gas grill right next to the house is not a violation?? And all the garbage isn't either. And neither is the noise all night or the public drinking ....wow. Who knew? I hope people start selling their homes en masse.

Hi Alice, I apologize if I wasn't clear in my response. As I stated, I will have an inspector there today to address any and all violations that we can cite (i.e. garbage etc.). As for the grill next to the house, it is not a violation to store it next to the house, it is however a violation if it is in use and it is next to the house which is why I said to call the non-emergency number if you see it in use and the AFD will respond and cite accordingly.
