Hudson Jay Park is a neighborhood park and upkeep is the responsibility of everyone who lives in the neighborhood. There's a small core of resident volunteers who work hard planting and maintaining the flower beds, watering, trimming and picking up the dog poop left by irresponsible dog owners. If you see trash, please pick it up and throw it out. Volunteer to help with park maintenance. The city's only responsibility for the park is mowing and they are generally pretty good about it, especially if alerted that the grass is getting high. As for the forsythia bushes, we are trying to bring them back to life after a severe butchering two years ago by unauthorized individuals. Cutting now will further retard their recovery. They will be pruned in the spring after flowering.
