  in addition, the city of oakland are constantly forced to collect abandoned cars that are no longer needed. This is a epic pattern, it is similar to illegal dumping of trash and living in vechiles.

  Fallas Store is supporting this bad behavior and action now for 1.5 years. I have called their Corporate office every since they opened with numerous complaints; selling cars, drugs being among the fire, overflow of trash, trashy parking lot, the memorial that's been out there on Myers for 4 years, graffiti and illegal dumping on the backside on 108th.

  We are trying to improve our neighborhood with Foothill Sq and other improvements. Fallas put that cheap fence up probably as a deterrent for the car issue. Maybe they need to go all together.

  I can’t stress how much of a nuisance this is. It’s nearly impossible to drive down the street or pass safely. These cars are just littered everywhere and this has been going on forever. Neighbors have called to complain and yet it’s still a major issue.

  I have also reported a grey Pontiac severe front end damage air bags out to city of oakland on the corner of Myers and Durant over 2 weeks ago vehicle is still there

Your request will be forward to the Oakland Police Department, Abandoned Auto Unit, for possible removal of vehicles that do not have current tags and/or license plate. The report of auto parts on the street will be reported to KOCB for removal. Please report the issue of vehicles parked on city street and being sold to, Oakland Police Department, Non-emergency Line, at (510) 777-3333; make sure to provide them with the vehicle make, model, color and license.

  Oh, your Abandoned Car process may not work because they move the cars and repatk them. What needs to happen is cameras need to be placed so we can see who's using our streets for profit and illegal activity. If this happened in Montclair or Lakshore, it would not have lasted 2 months much less 2 years!!! Fallas wouldn't even be given an opportunity to set up shop period.

  you are absolutely right, Montclair or Rockridge or Piedmont Ave get different treatment. Please contact the Mayor's Office with photos and ask to set up a meeting with them to walk the streets in the area so that they can experience what the residents experience.

  I know Ariana and have attended the NCPC here. Neighbors have been complaining about this store, the block, and the Smoke Shop on 108th and McArthur, for years. Council President Larry Reid and Ray Leon know and even Iris knows (whose focus area is further near Sobrante Park).

  Even though Foothill Sq is a good thing, the illegal dumping problem has increased on Foothill behind the Square and Fallas is just a bad neighbor. They are ghetto acting. They won't even sweep their parking lot nor the gutters surround it. People who do illegal activity are encouraged to do wrong when they see a business that doesn't care.

  FoodsCo managers have attended our D7 group meetings and listened to our suggestions for improvements and have complied. They are trying to be a good neighbor. But Fallas and the Smoke Shop need a citation. The City can only do so much, but us residents have stepped up, but have little influence on Fallas, the Barber shop or Smoke Shop. Thx for the recommendations.

  This problem still exists and has gotten worse. There needs to be enforcement to remove all of these vehicles from this area. This is an ongoing problem that has created a safety hazard. Visibility to pass through this intersection safely is very poor.
