the homeless encampment under the freeway has grown 3x it's size in the last month. the tents/pallets/bikes/trash are overflowing into the street. sidewalks are blocked for both pedistrians and are not accessible for the disabled. open air drug dealing and prostitution. mattresses. despite porta-potties, human feces and urine fill the area. horrendous smell. needles strewn. starting to block traffic.

Somebody out there knows what Abuse Of Power means and they know how to stop it.
They have stepped in when this happens in other countries. Usually not until too late.
I would like to know if they'll step in for us. Now. Homeless are being created by this system. They are being forced to live in filth and despair. Of course they are going to so things that are dangerous and criminal. Most human beings would. Homeless are being given no choices. Most of us live each day, knowing that this is how we will die. The "services" arent really and what there is is NOT DESIGNED TO HELP US. Those rats and that filth, are not how any of us should have to live. Weve been given no choice. Its making all of us sick. In more ways than one. If you expect the mental strength of anyone out here to stay solid, you are wrong. Those @#$% movies are a joke compared to what can come out of this nightmare. Illness spreads quickly. Especially with rats, bad water and poor sanitation. I wouldnt get a starbucks from that shopping center now. I dont let my child play in some parks or drink public water. Because it makes us sick. Because we are the homeless, just like thise people by home depot. But the housed people dont know what we know. You dont know what is dangerous to you and your children. You see homeless and rats. Thats what you see as dangerous. What makes us sick, will make housed people sick. We are dying from all of it. Which means eventually housed people could die. But before we all get truely sick, first peoples temoees and fears and human needs will take over. When the homeless have gone to long without being treated like humans, forced to live like animals... human nature is what it is. No human can watch as the world goes on around, them while they live in squalor, hated. There are thousands of us humans, doing exactly that. Watching the rest of you hate us for not being better like you. You think we chose all this? So where is your choices in this? They havent given you any. Just like they didnt give us any. Officials wont help, until taxpayers feel there's only one choice left, but to imprison the homeless enmasse. Then we will officially become one of those countries we here about in the news.
Do we as citizens really have to sit back and let this continue? Do we want this to happen? It will not be easier or better for our communities. The homeless arent capable of just going away. The entire United States is doing this.
Somebody needs to get the United Nations to step in. Because our government isnt going to stop this. They are causing it.
