Description
Attached is just one picture representing many areas of the deteriorating sea wall along Ravens Cove Townhomes. There are many places on both sides of the wall where the steel rebar is visible and is rusting because the cement wall has not been maintained or waterproofed.
This was reported over a year ago to a city worker who was painting over the graffiti and no action has been taken.

If this is not fixed soon it will become very expensive to repair in the long run. There is an added concern with the increase in King Tides, sea level rise and potential damage from storms.
With the city’s neglect, there is potential for private property damage in the future unless some preventive measures are taken.

We are currently assessing who is responsible for maintenance for this wall.
Ravenswood HOA members: it would be helpful if you could insight / historic documents related to maintenance of this wall in the past. Please call Andrew at (510) 747 -7941. The wall will be considered as part of the update to the City's Climate Action Plan.
Thank you!
