The department is looking into this after a number of complaints (from twitter). Specifically, there are backups through Central Ave from Fountain. I've attached the picture from twitter.

At 8am this morning, cars were backed up from the intersection of Whalley and West Park beyond Alden Avenue.

Good Morning, TT&P has observed the operation of this signal. In addition we have reviewed the design and timings for this corridor. The short answer is that everything is operating according to plan which I understand does not alleviate the frustration. With respect to the operation at these locations, federal guidelines with respect to accommodating pedestrian movements throughout the day, can impact progression during peak travel times.
