Description
The bridge by Mill River St has lights but they're only turned on at night. It's kind of a long bridge, so it's always pretty dark under there. I use this route when riding my bike to work, and I always fear that a car won't see me or I'll hit a pot hole or other indentation while I'm riding. Usually I wait for cars to pass before I go under, but I still worry that a car might come speeding through and hit me. A simple and safe solution would be to keep the lights on all the time.

i agree it is pretty terrifying riding your bike under here.
(a step further would be if they were solar powered lights...)

Okay, City of New Haven's Department of Transportation & Department of Public Works: get moving on this! According to State DOT, you are responsible for this train underpass, since it's traversing a city street.
This is a dangerous tunnel with NO working lights and lots of trash--glass, diapers, even a sofa cushion. I pass through here twice daily and have to keep checking over my shoulder to make sure there's no one around because there are so many hiding spots in here. Seriously, fix this, please!
