Description

I have a bag of prescription medicines belonging to a recently deceased person. Where can I safely dispose of them?

Sorry for your loss. I think as a rule you throw them in the garbage and never flush or down the sink. Pain med liquids should be put into something absorbent like a diaper or paper towels. The rest or pills just make sure nobody can get them out of the trash.

Marc is right. They can be thrown in the trash. Another alternative would be to deposit them in the prescription drug collection box located at police headquarters at 1 Union Avenue.
