DPW came by and filled the hole and now it has returned. I have expressed concern that the road in that corner is being undermined, yet all they do is keep putting in asphalt. There is ample evidence that there is something going on below the surface as this has been a problem for more than two years. All they do is fill it and have to return a couple of months later to do it all over again.

This depression in the road has grown. Now the manhole cover is exposed about 4 inches and growing worse. There is something going on under the road but nobody wants to do what seems to be clear, which is to do an honest investigation of what is happening, rather than just putting on new asphalt.
