The traffic light at Prospect and Sachem is not turning green to allow cars to travel through on Sachem. The light stays green for Prospect St traffic, turns red to allow a 4-way pedestrian crossing, then turns green for Prospect St traffic again. This is causing traffic on Sachem to back up to at least Hillhouse Ave, and cars are forced to run the red light to continue on.

When Traffic Signal/Pedestrian Signal is chosen the following message occurs
If there is a problem with a Traffic Signal, please call the Transportation, Traffic and Parking Department directly at (203) 946-8075 between 9 am and 5 pm, M -F or call the New Haven Police Department after hours or on weekends at (203) 946-6316.
I would like to add after calling it in you can then post to alert others and to have a record it was called in. This site is not monitor 24/7 by the city and some departments hardly if at all monitor this site.
