I am resubmitting to SCF under recommendation of LCI Jillian Driscoll. We have been dealing with some pretty serious illegal dumping in this area and across the street as well in the past 2 weeks.
Today I observed a black Dodge Durango SUV backed up to the very edge of the woods. When I stopped and looked at the driver and he saw me looking at him, he immediately left. As he was driving away I observed THREE TIRES where he had been parked all individually wrapped on white plastic trash bags. A 4th tire is off to the left.
While I did not actually see him dump the tires, they.were not there the day or night before and by taking off as quickly as he did, he was very suspicious. When I saw the tires there. I immrdiayely followed him down the street and took down his plate number: 764-ZXP.
There is more illegal dumping if you continue toward Common Ground High School. A black leather couch was dumped over the guard rail on the left hand side of the road. It has been there almost 2 weeks and broken pieces of wooden furniture are on both sides of the road. City and state trucks always go up.and down and I am sure they must see it.
I don't know if it is State or City property or DEEP's responsibility but the longer the dumping stays there, the more that will be added to it.
Please address as soon as possible.
