Description

I am a resident of 360 State St. and use Pitikin Plaza all the time day and night but now do not feel safe hanging out in the Plaza at night or early morning for coffee due to homeless people camping out overnight under the construction scaffolding at Trinity Pub. At first it was one person, then two, and now has grown to three. They erected cardboard barriers now as a make shift bedding and no one seems to be clearing it out. They are taking advantage of the bar being closed during construction and it is unsafe for pedestrians to walk under the scaffolding. I noticed many pedestrians opt for walking on the street (myself included) rather than under the construction and with the amount of traffic, that is extremely dangerous. It's only a matter of time before someone is hit by a car. Please be diligent and clear the vagrants from this public walkway and private property location. Thank you
