Alder for the 21st ward here - can you be more specific about the location? Whitney and Prospect do not intersect.

I know they don’t intersect. Both streets need paving. There are potholes all along from Hamden to New Haven.

Please -- will these roads be milled and repaved? They are terrible and truly urgent. How come these issues are being closed with no specifics or solution?

@moo.u2 - I'm the alder for the 21st ward, which includes part of Whitney and part of Prospect. I think the issue was closed because it's not specific enough. If one includes photos and the addresses adjacent to the potholes, the City will make an effort to get them fixed - it's very rare that Department of Public Works is not able to make a patch. I would encourage you and Newhavenresident to try this at a couple specific locations.

The City has limited funds and prioritizes roads that need to be milled and repaved. The section of Prospect in my ward for example is in relatively good condition and wouldn't be high on the list of priorities. I only found one pothole on Prospect St in my ward after I looked at this request: Department of Public Works patched it: https://seeclickfix.com/issues/4854816

The site won’t allow me to add pics. I sent several to my alder. There are several holes along East Rock between Prospect and Whitney which needed work last year 😢

Hi Newhavenresident- Please open a new See Click Fix issue for East Rock Road. Adding intersections is definitely a help. Photos are a great plus and are usually easier to upload when first reporting the issue.

As I mentioned I have tried adding photos but it doesn’t work. Please check for problems with the site

The roads still remain difficult to drive. My car was damaged recently by the unevenness of the road 😕. It shouldn’t have happened if they had been fixed as I asked
