Please call Alameda Co Health 567-6700 and Alameda Co Vector control 567-6800 the more of your affected neighbors that complain the better.

The rats are coming from 1217 Park St, 1217 A Park St, and 1217 B Park St. The county vector control biologist is incredibly helpful, but he has no enforcement power to make the property owner abate the vermin. Code Enforcement has to act, but if you offend them they won't, so you will have to flee. The Alameda County restaurant enforcement will act, immediately, to get the restaurant to comply. Also, if garbage or grease is is on the ground, you can call Public Works Clean Water Jim or Mark(sp?), and they will act fast to get voluntary compliance. Search previous SCF posts and you will see I already reported this, and it was abated. The rat problem is ongoing though, because they have shelter and water at 1217 Park St, and go abroad for food.
