Third. And this isn't the first time this corner has been filled with trash. Wish there was something that could be done to stop the dumping permanently.

What is wrong with the City of Oakland? Considering the incredibly high taxes we are paying, why can't they routinely remove this trash? Who are the officials we should write to about this issue?

Whats wrong is our elected officials and city dept heads are reactive and dysfunctional. It seems there is zero enforcement of illegal dumping, littering, spray, tagging and sticker vandalism, vehicle registration, vehicle dumping, illegal encampments, traffic enforcement. All at the law abiding tax payers expense. If you want something done the city expects its citizens to step as volunteers as reporters on SCF, illegal dumping and spray vandalism are now civil crimes. Who has the time to document and take these low life's to court.

The least they can do is cover the city each day and pick up the trash. Prosecuting violators is icing on the cake.
