I rip them down and recycle them when I find them in my neighborhood, however it would be great for the City to exert their authority to prevent this from happening in the future.
Does this mean nothing has been done to discourage such scofflaws? That nothing will be done? That the City doesn't care at all? How hard can it be to have a police officer call the phone number and warm them to desist?
These advertising signs are not only illegal on public property but insulting. You never see them in East Rock or Westville!
At least Mayor DeStefano cared about quality-of-life issues as well as other issues! The Harp Administration ignores the tax-payers in nice neighborhoods.
I believe some from the city tried to call the number on the signs and there was no one there to answer. They then proceeded to start taking down the signs. Seems the whole thing is a scam to get people to call and get information from them.
Well, if anyone in the Administration –LCI, Police, anyone– did anything about these illegal and ugly advertising signs on public property, it didn't help. There are more just like them nailed to light poles all over the neighborhood. Unlike quads and dirt bikes, it should be easy to track down these people and find them, but this Administration cares very little about quality of life for taxpayers.

Are the people who put up these signs ever contacted and told what they are doing is wrong?
