I would like someone to address the car parking on the lawn. I don't think it's OK for them to be driving over the sidewalk without an approved apron. this is a hazard to pedestrians. Kids and people count on driveway aprons to anticipate cars pulling in and out of driveways. With the way, this is (especially with the yard fence wrapping around like that, it would be very startling for a car to suddenly pull onto the sidewalk.

Thank you for reporting the site to the Town. We will be dispatching our inspector to the site to evaluate the sidewalk. Please allow us up to two weeks to conduct the inspection.

We can address anything blocking the sidewalk. If they are parking within their yard, we cannot address. Parking on the sidewalk is a police enforcement issue. If you see such an issue please call the police non emergency line.

I did just that and they said that people can park on their front lawns if they want. I'm sorry but I'm beginning to see why people leave Hamden. A lot of big problems, not enough resources and order begins to break down. Its pretty terrible.

The police told me to contact the Mayor's office, which I did through this website, only to have them divert the problem to you, who can do nothing about it. So does this mean that the issue, which is real and valid, dies here?
