Now that school is reopened it is necessary to once again request speed limit enforcement on
Pine Rock Avenue. There are several bus stops on Pine Rock Ave & Elementary School students are walking to
Helen Street School . The increased traffic from SCSU and commercial truck traffic it is making this a dangerous situation.
The posted speed limit is 25 MPH and most vehicles are traveling close to double that.
Several accidents happen each year but nothing is done to improve the safety conditions on this road.
There is a very sharp curve that is particularly dangerous at the corner of Blacy St. where several close calls have happened
between vehicles traveling North and pedestrians.
Mr. Mayor, Please do not tell me to write another letter to someone else.
Action needs to be taken, be it speed bumps, stop signs, Police enforcement, additional signage, or even making Pine Rock Ave a one way
Street before someone gets hurt.

Residents of Pine Rock Ave cannot safely park in front of their homes. Children cannot safely walk to the bus stop. Is it going to take another serious accident or death to get the Mayor to do something?
If that happens, the news media will be made aware of the fact that this serious problem was brought to the Towns attention and no action was taken. PLEASE do SOMETHING!

School children walking to and waiting at bus stops are perilously close to cars, commercial trucks and schools buses far exceeding the
25 MPH speed limit on this residential street. Most homeowners on Pine Rock Ave. are smart enough to not park in front of their homes for fear
of getting hit. The residents that do park on Pine Rock Ave. are contributing to these dangerous traffic conditions.
Please do something now! If another terrible accident happens on this section of Pine Rock Ave. , the news media will be made aware of the
Mayors failure to address these concerns. I pray that no one gets hurt due to the Towns inaction!
