Description

The intersection of Chabot and Roanoke desperately needs crosswalks and traffic enforcement. It is bordering an elementary school, and cars use Roanoke as a cut-through street.

Last week, around 5PM when it was daylight, I was taking my 8 year old son home from school. We were well into the intersection when a car ran the stop sign and almost hit us. Luckily I still hold his hand because I had to pull him back from being hit.

This will only get worse when daylight savings changes and it gets dark soon. There is an elementary school and a little league field here. Please add brightly painted crosswalks to help drivers notice pedestrians. Please do this before my son or another child gets hit.
