Indoor construction/renovation work continues at the Residences at Ninth Square complex (painting, laying carpet, elevator renovations, etc). The workers do not practice social distancing, crowd together in narrow hallways, and have knocked on residents’ doors to attempt to speak with them in close proximity. They also conduct unannounced fire alarm “testing” frequently, often multiple times daily, requiring all residents to either exit the buildings at the same time via narrow stairwells or to stay in their units and risk being trapped if the alarm is not actually a test. The property already has had one confirmed COVID19 death, but construction has continued as usual.
