Description
Deafening fireworks being set-off north of Spring & Henry Johnson Blvd. Everyday, 7 days a week, as soon as nightfalls the fireworks go off until 2 or 3 am. It would be nice if the people who work and pay takes here could get the sleep they need to continue working and paying taxes.

That's fine.
Since apparently I am not going to get any sleep - AGAIN, I called the police again and emailed my City Councilman.
I don't get it - enforce the ordinance and fine violators $250. It would increase City revenues and deprive people of the income to buy even more fireworks.

I agree that it's disturbing that some of these comments are hinging on racist and elitism.
Those comments detract from the very real issue of these fireworks as a fire hazard and noise issue. The ones at Spring and Henry Johnson woke me up around midnight last night, and that being-woken-up-by-fireworks thing happens every single night.

I just read an email from my City Councilman.
He lives here and is just as frustrated. As we all guessed, the problem is Albany County allows certain fireworks, leaving the Albany Common Council unable to act to ban them in the city.
He suggest we contact our County Legislator with our concerns.
