Description
The street sweeper is in Westville this morning, which is great... but no one knew it was coming. Consequently, both sides of the street are filled with parked cars and the sweeping route is probably 30% effective. The storm drain in front of our house, for example, has a car parked over it (it almost always does), so didn’t get cleared at all. Are they following a published schedule? Could they post permanent signage and stick to that schedule? Or use the city phone messaging to alert people the evening before?

Beginning August 3, the City is instituting a new Street Sweeping System. We at Public Works will continue scheduled sweeping but the Tag-Tow aspects will change. Notifications are only done to Tag- Tow areas up to this point. With new approach, we will be sending notifications citywide. Tag-Tow will no longer operate. Instead the city will be ticketing in every route. More information will follow. Thanks for reporting
