Description
Every day for several months now, multiple motorcycles speed down Humphrey Street, gathering as much speed as they can between the lights on Orange and Whitney. They are unsafe for all. They also are usually extremely loud, so much so that conversations must pause until they've passed. Can something be done?

Over here on Mansfield Street we have the same problem. By the end of the first block on this one-way street, they're easily going 50 miles an hour. Besides the damage to residents' eardrums and personal rights to peaceful enjoyment of their homes, it's amazing that one of these motorcyclists hasn't killed someone -- and that some aggrieved resident hasn't killed them.
It's not just one person being "inconvenienced"; it's a matter of flagrant disregard of speed limits and decibel limits. Maybe an answer is video cams to record license plates of offenders; maybe add some speed bumps with bite. No part of New Haven is safe from these maniacs!
