To Whom it May Concern:

I am writing in to report a hazard. I live at 8275 Skyline Circle. My backyard is adjacent to the 14400 block of Skyline Blvd, which has a grove of trees owned by the city of Oakland. Since 2018, wind storms have occurred which have caused tree branches to fall damaging my fence. These branches weigh from 150lbs to 200lbs.

Over the past two years I’ve made two different repairs to my fence from my own pocket.

Currently, a very large branch has fallen onto my fence, while it's also attached to the tree. When children are playing in the backyard; I fear the branch may come down injuring one of them. I would like the city of Oakland to address this hazard as soon as possible. I would also like to be reimbursed as soon as possible for past damages and repairs.
