Wonderful!!! Can they inspect all corners on jfk between Fairmount and Duncan. The city should get there money back with the awful job they did EVERYWHERE with these curb extensions. It looks awful! They destroyed our city!!! On top of that they damaged the street lights and since November 2020 that part of JFK, along with other areas, still has not been fixed. The company responsible should be sued for all the damages they created and nothing has been finished. Huge holes all over the sidewalk area where they performed work. I was waiting patiently thinking it would be completed....still waiting and ive lost patience.

So how was that inspection yesterday? Who inspected the area and what was their assessment?

Angel Rodriguez was there and found no cause.

You're kidding right?! How can Mr. Rodriguez consider this work to be complete? The big gapping holes all over the corners, trees,poles, and the lights that were cut down in November and STILL NOT replaced.
Is that considered acceptable to Jersey City?? This is an actual question. Is this work finished? And acceptable to Jersey City??

No street lights since October. Cut poles that block the crosswalk (not ADA compliance) Big holes all over. Water is filling the holes in the concrete basins around the poles. I could go on and on.. This is considered finished? No wait, I know your response "Not our problem, it's the county". SMH. What is the point of RRC then?? The city looks like garbage and that is your problem.

Inspector Angel Rodriguez considered this to be acceptable and closed the case. Ridiculous

This issue was forwarded to the Hudson County Engineering Division to review and address as JFK Blvd is owned and maintained by the County.

Response from Hudson County: "The Contractor just came back from a winter shutdown. These two intersections will be done in the next couple weeks."

So basically Hudson County hasn't worked at all this year. On 4-7-21 you stated they just came back from winter shutdown and inspections were supposed to take place within a couple of weeks. Have the inspectors been shut down for spring and summer too? Or are they waiting for next winter when they have yet another break. Or will this request just keep being passed off to some other department so no one will ever have to deal with it? Seems to me like thats exactly whats happening!

Still NOT resolved, in 2+ years!

The City has done all inspections that they could and found nothing out of compliance that comes under our responsibility. JFK is a county road and the County was notified of the issue on 4/7/2021. The City has done all that it can, but follow up must be done with Hudson County, since they are solely responsible here and the City cannot legally take action. You can keep this open, but know that it will simply stay open and no further action can be taken since everything is in compliance where the City has responsibility. We are not saying that there is not an issue, but we are unable to take any further action.

Thank you, this should have been posted before. Instead of saying it has been resolved, when it has not been and you know that.

I did not know that County's portion had not been resolved. I was simply closing out everything resolved on our end.

This will stay open, but no follow up can be provided since this is not a service request handled by the City. This issue has been assigned back to the RRC. Hopefully the requestor will follow up with the County, which has sole jurisdiction. Very limited staffing means that staff can only focus on issues under the jurisdiction of Jersey City. Please note that Hudson county does not see SCF issues and is unable to provide updates on this reporting system.

According to Hudson County Engineer, they had Road dept. temporarily fill it with asphalt and it is on the list for the contractor to go back out and replace it with concrete.

Did the County fix this yet? Just checking with the resident as this falls under the County and not the City. Looking to see if this can finally be closed out or if the County is addressing this in the coming paving season.
