There was a shooting 2 doors down from my house tonight. Police are camped out all over (which I can appreciate) However, they have been increasingly rude and unhelpful. As a freaked out mother who leaves to go to the store I do not expect to be yelled out when I try and return to my home. And told I can't drive my car back to my house "cuz I'm here an I ain't leaving" If you want us on your side then behave like good citizens and be polite and respectful, I didn't commit a crime and should not be treated as such.

I lived about 3 doors from you (139 Clinton) many years ago, and remember ihe area as very peaceful.

I'm pro-cop but you are right, they are often rude. I think it is their training.

Not commenting on any of the posters here, but a lot of the CIVILIANS in Fair Haven need lessons in common decency and how to behave like normal human beings.

Hi JMBH,
Did you happen to get the badge numbers of the officers who were rude to you or do you have the date and time that the incident occurred? I believe this is the type of complaint that the citizen review board handles.

This is unfortunatly, common behavier by the NHPD. I do not think that common curtusy and respect are part of the academy training. They are extremly rude, beligerant and disrespectful. They have no class or manners. And they wonder why they get no respect. They have'nt earned it.
