This complaint is a REPEAT about an empty lot between 170 and 182 Orange St. The original home burned down decades ago. The owner has been previously cited but ONLY MAINTAINS THE PROPERTY WHEN FORCED BY THE CITY OF OAKLAND! The lot is fenced off but vandals jump the fence and have graffitied the walls of a previous garage excavation. The TALL, DRY WEEDS AND GRASS which go from the street all the way to the back of the empty lot will go up in flames with a spark or cigarette and cause severe damage to adjacent homes. WHY can't the City solve this problem? Why have to repeatedly report it? Follow up on long standing issues! THANK YOU.
