Let me add some information. The Jersey barrier proximal to the rotary is angled into the “protected” sidewalk and it’s not wide enough for bikes with children in bike trailers. Just yesterday I saw a bicyclist with a child trailer swerve into traffic on Concord Ave to go around the protected sidewalk. The functionally unprotected sidewalk is not wide enough for a contraflow strollers, cyclists and even people it seems.

To be clear the cyclist with child in tow yesterday was not contending with other people on the protected sidewalk sandwiched in between the Jersey barriers and construction fence, he took his children into dangerous post-rotary traffic, post- shopping mall and apartment traffic. Maybe all these cyclists could fit but they would have to perform a large s-curve to get in their bike and baby trailer in alignment with the opening between the construction fencing and concrete barrier.

The construction workers move the barriers at will. Even when they are placed where intended, the makeshift sidewalk contains a large sewer grate which is sometimes hard to maneuver.

They also continue to consistently leave the fencing open.

And the bus stop compounds the hazard
