The current work in the area of Damon Rd. and Tanglewood Rd. is Eversource Gas related. The construction work is being performed by Eversource contractors. This work is not being performed or funded by the DPW and it is not related to or coupled with any storm drain work/improvements in this area. Pursuant to our upcoming Annual Town Meeting, the Town of Needham DPW will be pursuing funding for a storm water master plan which will study numerous areas of concern that have experienced repeated flooding and/or poor drainage as part of this plan.

With all due respect the storm drain was designed and built by your department with a double grate. It was changed to a single grate due to a complaint of noise from cars. While I think a town wide study is a wonderful idea I don’t believe it is the solution for this situation and I am just being dismissed.
