These sign nubs are all over the city. Is this wonton neglect by Cambridge Public Works? Leaving behind a sharp, fixed object and trip hazard. I don’t think so. I hope not. Though, only in two photos have I seen the sign left behind, so it was either: stolen, out of the picture’s frame, or removed by Cambridge. If the latter that sound neglectful leaving an unforgiving, sharp nub behind. (Not to mention an ADA violation?) I think these are illegally removed signs. Signs removed to steal a bike most likely, or removed by property owners, or delivery app pirates who don’t want a ticket. Bottom line, I see these stubs and I think “theft,” “crime” and a critically low level of police in our polis.

Less cops, more community. Would take 3 hours tops to hire a couple guys and a sledgehammer. The city would rather pay pigs to eat donuts
