Patients and workers alike are parking on Perkins Street and parking to close to the corner of Grand Ave. that cars coming around the corner to Perkins Street and turning in too close to these cars. TOO many cars taking parking spaces from the residents of Perkins Street.

Whole-heartedly agree, Carl. The clinic should have patients and workers park in the parking lots on the side of river run (50 Grand ave). I feel bad for the first couple houses on Perkins, looks as if the garden has put up a stunning chicken wire fence also, so the residents can no long park there. I wasn't aware that was garden property, but I do know I almost never see anyone there.

Unfortunately all the parking that was (barely) available at 50 Grand ave has been designated for the clinic. As a resident of Perkins street I don't particularly mind people parking here during business hours at the clinic. My fear is for the small children, their parents and elderly people trying to get across Grand ave without a cross walk. It's true that people can park in the public lot on the corner of Grand & East Pearl and some do, but inevitably people will park on Perkins & it's their safety that concerns me. I do no believe the city should be punitive or charge parking fees, the city should look out for it's residents and simply allow them to cross safely.

Come on City on New Haven this is an easy fix!! Let's do something!!
