Description
There is a road that connects to Bassett Street that is extremely dangerous. There have been several accidents where the house on 172 Bassett Street has been hit and the concrete steps have been crushed.
Francine Gomes lives here and says she has grandchildren and the summer is coming. She has complained before to the City, and someone told her they can assist but never did.
SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. Francine can be reached at 203-675-2910

This problem has all the signs of an ignored issue. More than 2 hours have surpassed and there have been no comments posted by the usual people who always have something to say.
I understand it is because the geographical location of this issue is outside of the specified spectrum of people with more money, but I spoke with the resident of 172 Bassett Street and her report of what has been happening at her residence is more than worthy of attention.
If the same circumstances had been prevalent in Hamden, Chesire or Wallingford, a metal barrier would have been constructed in front of her residence. If our city will not step up and provide immediate assistance, I feel confident our alderperson, Ms. Delphine Clyburn will take care of the matter. Let's give her a little time to correspond with the city to see what she can do.

I am just a lowly temp, started here 3 weeks ago. I am from Massachusetts... and I care. This lady called me today and was not only concerned about HER grandchildren like the Hamden's, Cheshire's and Wallingford's would be, but she was concerned about EVERYONE that has to travel this road.
BTW, our areas in MA are Needham/Wellesley... The struggle is real

Thank you for the comment. No offense was intended towards you or you organization. I believe there needs to be more action taken by our local politicians. We need to see what Ms. Delphine Clyburn will do to make the wheels turn on this issue. It's one step at a time and without people like you and me, it just takes more time.
