I leave my returnable bottles and cans out for the people who collect them for the money. Today, someone took the old blue recycling bin as well as the bottles. It might have a number painted in orange it. Please bring it back, if you have it or find it.

Please have the property owner contact the Public Works Dept by phone at (203)946-7700 regarding that missing recycling bin. We're open M-F, 7 AM to 4 PM.

Obviously no good deed goes unpunished. I'm sorry that people are so thoughtless and self centered that they had to take your bin because they did not have a bag with them. I would stop leaving out your cans & bottles for awhile. I would attach a note to my new bin if you get one explaining the inconvenience they have caused you or others by thoughtless actions. Maybe people will get the hint. We live in a me, myself & I culture today.
